The United Bible Societies and the Nida Institute for Biblical Scholarship are proud to announce that their long standing collaboration with the Fondazione Unicampus San Pellegrino in Italy (FUSP) has resulted in a new International Master’s program in the area of Bible Translation.  This degree is sponsored by the three institutions and has received full accreditation from the Italian government.

Graduates of this program will have some of the competencies required to function as exegetes or translation consultants supporting Bible translation projects around the world.

The full course will take two years which translates into a total of 120 credits.

YEAR 1

Year 2

Candidates are required to provide proof of a Bachelor’s degree (or higher), which will have to be evaluated and validated by the Italian government. In addition, it is necessary for all candidates to have a sufficient knowledge (intermediate level) of Biblical Hebrew and Greek. An admission test will be administered to evaluate the knowledge of the candidate. For a certain number of candidates who do not fully qualify, the opportunity will be provided to study the Biblical languages online under the supervision of a tutor until the desired competency has been achieved.

In addition, the candidate will have to provide an updated Curriculum Vitae, which will be evaluated. In a number of cases a candidate may receive credits for competencies acquired elsewhere, if sufficient proof can be provided.
